Your Journey
Day by Day
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive, settle in, and meet your guide. In the evening we keep it light — a calm city walk or viewpoint, then a simple briefing so you know exactly what's coming. Optional welcome dinner.
Ulaanbaatar → Baga Gazriin Chuluu (Granite Steppe)
Leave the city behind and watch the steppe stretch wider with every hour. We stop for tea, photos, and short walks so the drive feels spacious, not rushed. Sunset among granite formations and a quiet night under big sky.
Baga Gazriin Chuluu → Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa Cliffs)
The landscape shifts from open grasslands to dramatic, layered cliffs. Arrive for golden-hour light — the 'White Stupa' looks unreal at sunset. Evening by camp with time to rest and reset.
Tsagaan Suvarga → Yol Valley (Gobi Gurvan Saikhan)
We enter the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan region and feel the desert air change. A short hike in Yol Valley — cool shade and sometimes ice hidden inside the desert. Relaxed evening and early sleep.
Yol Valley → Khongoryn Els (Singing Dunes)
Today is pure icon: Mongolia's largest dunes rising from silence. Optional camel ride, then a sunset dune climb — the view is endless and the wind writes its own soundtrack. Night in the desert feels unusually still.
Khongoryn Els: slow day + nomadic life (seasonal)
A slower pace by design. Visit a herder family when available — tea, stories, and a real look at daily life without turning it into a show. Extra time for photos, rest, or another short dunes session.
Khongoryn Els → Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs)
Red sandstone, fossil history, and the best warm light in the south. We walk the Flaming Cliffs in late afternoon when the color peaks. Evening is relaxed — campfire vibes if conditions allow.
Bayanzag → Ongii Monastery (scenic transfer day)
A longer transfer across wide-open Mongolia, broken up with real breaks and good stops. We visit the quiet ruins of Ongii Monastery — a powerful contrast to the vastness around it. Rest early for the final return.
Ongii → Ulaanbaatar + Departure prep
Return to the capital with a calm final stretch. Depending on timing, we can add a short stop for cashmere/crafts without tourist traps. Final night in the city or airport transfer, based on your schedule.
